Hey, I am in the process of building a 180” fed. My question is regarding the steering shaft/rod length from the spindle to the frame or brack. Is there a specific length that these should be? Mine worked out to just under 8’, is this too long?

At anything over about 160" wheelbase I would normally use at least a 2 piece drag link. I usually run the front section at around four feet (or approximately as long as the radius rods if the car has a sprung front end).

Yeah, I am from the south--any further south and I would have been a bloody penguin.
