25" PG Planetary
« on: March 26, 2018, 07:03:09 PM »
I'm having to use a PG with the shorter 9" tailhousing in my FED. The output shaft is about 2" shorter that a standard length PG. The only planetary I have in that length is a 16 spline 1:76 from a early PG unit. Has anyone seen or heard of a planetary like this with 27 spline output shaft?

This is a older Jr. Fuel car. It had a PG with the 27 spline shorter shaft. It didn't come with the car.

Problem solved. I can cut the std. length shaft. I'll still have about 1 3/4" of splines for the MW/1350 yoke to fit.

Done it before.  Just cut it to length with a hack saw.
