Hi Rooman, can you please post a couple pics of how you do steering mounts down the side of the chassis? Do you use Teflon to make the tube slide better? I would like to cut off all my brackets and make it better. Maybe I am being too pikey but would like to get rid of the metal to metal deal. I hope this makes sense. Thank you as for finally after 2.5 years I might be getting my KB block to finally mock everything up. I will post pics as all comes along.

I just use a simple aluminum slider bracket. I do countersink the hole on either side to reduce the surface area where the link slides but that is about it. I use McKinney's weld tab on the frame--it has a pair of 3/16" holes for 10-32 screws/bolts and the aluminum part is one of my own pieces. Neil and Parks also make a package that uses a single 1/4" bolt to locate the slider.
On long wheelbase cars (225") I use three slider brackets and 7/8" tube for the link.

Dragster Supply sells a couple different types of drag ling supports. One made completely out of UHMW plastic and the other out of aluminum with UHMW inserts. Nice and quiet and won't bother your chrome.
