Rear Wheel Torque

I have 5/8-18 rear studs, what is the proper torque spec?  Weld wheels.  Thanks,  Scott

I find that with aluminum ( or mag) wheels and the aluminum spacers over the studs that it becomes a game of feel
Those aluminum spacers have to "compact' then things start to get tight--issues are compounded by the fact that many of the lug nuts have serrations on the back side that chew away at the aluminum spacers 
So my advice is to tighten them up until you feel all of the slack is out and that things are "compressed" then use TQ wrench to just ensure they are all the same--I don't use a TQ wrench--The way that the hats and rotors are-- there is not an issue with rotor warp to worry about so...
The TQ value for a stud that big would be a lot so be careful

My 5/8" tie studs we torque at 85 #, our old studs 1/2" we ran at 80 #, both with alum lug nuts.

Lug Nuts: 7/16 Wheel stud = 75-85 ft-lbs
1/2 Wheel stud = 85-95 ft-lbs
5/8 Wheel stud = 130-140 ft-lbs
12mm = 90 ft-lbs 14mm = 110 ft-lbs

Weld Racing does not recommend the use of lubricant when installing lug nuts.

Strange also recommends 130 with the aluminum spacers...

We torque ours at 115lbs not sure where we came up with that number but that’s what we have used for years
