What is the recommended torque spec for a 1/2-20 grade 8 balancer bolt, 1 inch thread engagement? Thanks, Scott

Torque specs for that size bolt is 100Lbs.
Most harmonic balancers on Chevys hang out about .080" to .125" past the end of the crankshaft.
You will find in most cases the washer starts to dish inward. A thin washer inside to support the balancer washer helps.
