You might want to try Goodyear D2585, 31x12x15, the weight is only 22.6lbs ea, while your M/T's are at least 37 lbs ea there by giving you less rotating weight. One pound of rotating weight is = to 10 lbs of static weight. so that would be like taking 144 lbs off your car. Another advantage is the D2585's grow more during the run, giving more MPH and less RPM. BTW the M/T's 15W is 11' wide , I know because I have a set of your tires.
One reason I think the GY 31x12x15 is a good choice because Don Enriquez [ VP at Hilborn] is a multi year NHRA Heritage JrFuel champion, running a best of 7.11, 186 in the 1/4 and my guess running below 5.00 in the 1/8. his car with driver is about 1465 lbs with all iron 400 ci SBC, with 23° non raised runner iron heads, PG and a 4.30 gear. I would recommend 10" wide rims, which will grow more and not overbite at the hit.
I have tested the MT 33x10.5w x15 on my JrFuel B car, because I thought the stiff sidewalls would cut down on tire shake, which it did, but they did not ET as well as the GY, I think because of the growth, and being 15 lbs heavier each = 30 lbs for two. i still plan on testing more with tire pressure , launch RPM, and rim width changes. My 1470 lb 225" wb dragster on all iron 23° RR SBC alky runs 4..40's and 154 to 156 mph in the 1/8.
I can give the members here a discount on the GoodYear slicks of $345 ea, from the $373 retail. BTW GY has taken these tires off the regular build list, so I have specail orderd these 31x12x15 tires.

jon,
the m/t's are 33" and the g/y's are 31". does the 2" difference matter?
btw, we run those m/t's and 1700lbs with o/size driver. lol
thanks
john
JrFuel Hayden:
Yes, I saw the MT were 33" , but because the 31 GY grow more I've found the MT's slowed up the ET by a tenth, to a tenth and a half, and knocked 4 mph off the GY's, at the 1/4, and knocked off 3 mph at the 1/8, but the Micky's picked up some 60', by .03. Again keep in mind the MT's are 14 lbs heavier each. the most successfull FED running MT's is Craig Bourgeois B/ND racing Comp Elim, running 6.80's with MT 29x10.5x15S with 4.88 gears and as good as 9.87 sixty foot times, and another special part of his combo is I built him a set of 21" front wire wheels that gives him an extra 4 1/2" head star of a full tree. The 21" wheels don't help on a .4 pro tree. It makes his dragster look different with 27.5" tall front tires and 29" rears, but it works, Craig won Comp Elim Champioship in 2015.
