Thanks guys. This is a good series, competitive to say the lest. if you get a chance come on out you do not have to be a member to race.

Memphis is not posted yet, but points will show up at this link.

NDRL has a face book page at this link

This is the write up on that page of the race at Memphis.

Nostalgia Racers invade Memphis

The Nostalgia Drag Racing League made its first ever visit to Memphis International Raceway over the weekend for the Rod and Custom Memphis Nationals. Thanks to the track crew, the surface was set on kill and the action came quick.

Quick Fuel Technology PRO Gas rolled up quick and we found Bob Perkins running dead on 5 to take the top spot for the second race and the second Dishon Transmission Service low qualifier bonus in a row followed by John Treesh, Charlie Butler, Dave Mullin, and Mike Cutler. Semifinal pairings had Kenny Robinson taking the hit leading Mike Ryan to the finish line to meet up with his longtime pal Treesh who downed Bob Eaker. The final was all Robinson as chopped the tree down and led the way to take his first win of the season.

Rod and custom machine PRO Comp rolled under the tower next and after three rounds found Dan Dishon taking the top spot and the Dishon Transmission low qualifier bonus running .015 over his C/Comp index. Dishon was followed by Gary Williams, Glenn Lever, Shane Bowman, and Tim Reis. Semifinal pairings found Rod Beall advancing over a red lighting Brett Edwards to pair up with Lever who advanced to the final on a bye. The final was all Lever who took the win over Beall by a narrow .007 MOV.

Phenix Industries PRO 7.5 showed up and the numbers were good early. Bo Boles dropped an early dead on pass running 8 thousandths over but David Shaffer passed that up by hitting the index dead on 5 to take the top spot and the Stanke Motorsports low qualifier bonus. Boles was followed by Jarrod Bradshaw, Pat Malloy, and Wayne Sears. Semifinal pairings had Shaffer advancing over Bradshaw to meet up with Boles who advanced on a bye. With almost identical reaction times, Boles took the tree and carried that to the stripe to take his second win of the season.

Ross Racing Engines PRO 7.0 drivers laid down numbers all weekend and it showed early in qualifying. Michael Sexton jumped to the top early running .02 over to take the point and taking the Stanke Motorsports low qualifier bonus. Sexton was followed by Jeff Sanborn, Cory Millet, Gordon Horn, and Robbie Freels. Semifinals had Horn advancing over Sexton meeting Billy Smith who advanced over Steve Knopp. The final was all Smith as he took the tree and ran dead on the index to take his second win of the season.

The next stop for the Powershield Coatings-NDRL Points Championship will be at Summit Motorsports Park July 14-16 for the AzkoNobel WANDA Blue Suede Cruise.

As always, thanks goes out to all of our marketing partners for helping us make this happen.
