We assembled this car for our son after racing Jr Dragsters. Have won several races with this FED.
Tried to create the look of a Jr Fuel dragster from the 60's. Basic 350 Chevy 4 bolt block, steel crankshaft. Scat rods and Speed-Pro pistons. Engle solid flat tappet camshaft. Cast aluminum timing cover and gear drive. Period correct 461 cylinder heads and Enderle stack injectors. The injectors have been powder coated candy apple red with blue stack holders. M/T valve covers and zoomies. This has a Mallory SuperMag IV magneto.
No radiator or electronics. We tow it up and back from a run, just like the old days.
Easy car to run and lots of fun. Has run 1.27 60' times without using the brake. 1/4 mile time is 9.27 @ 141 with the engine a little rich.
Just had the chassis re-certified IHRA. Seat belts are good until the end of 2017.
