67 Chevy powerglide question
(1/1)
32bantam:
Hi Dan.....we are going to swap the powerglide out of a 67 Chevy wagon with a 307 2 barrel......with a turbo 350 from a 36 Chevy streetrod. It has a 350 4barrell. He thinks it has a aftermarket converter. So......before we get into this I would like to know if we can swap input shafts to keep the stock converter in the wagon?
Thanks !!!!
bikeguy307:
No the input shaft of the 350 is pressed into the input drum. They do make a conversion shaft, they are expensive and require disassembly and a press to swap the shafts. Your best bet is just buy a stock 350 converter. You should be able to get one at any trans shop for less than $100.00
