Blower Restraints

<< < (2/5) > >>

dreracecar:
If the fuel lines run inside the belts, then a belt guard is not needed, if alc is used as a fuel the a blower restraint 14-1 is needed.  DJ Safety is good with working with odd ball combos, I am making a new top plate for a customers setup and they will strap it for me.

arush:
Can you mount the hardware to one header bolt or does it need to be attached by two header bolts?

dreracecar:
just 1

buickfed:
I still/will run a mechanical pump and the f/l runs up behind the dist to the carb. I think it's buried enough to be away from any belt issues. don't think the 16 rib will give me any problems. probably jinxed myself by saying that.

arush:
I just received my DJ Safety 14.1 blower restraints.
I gave them my dimensions and they said that I should have the 18" long straps.
After putting them on they seem about 2" too long.
The 18" looks way to floppy to me and the next size smaller is a 15" which is about an inch too short.
I could have them make a custom 16" set or get their adjustable straps.
My question is, Are the adjustable straps still NHRA legal ?
