Blower Restraints

<< < (4/5) > >>

Larry Gocha:
Bruce what does the plate need to be made of and how thick can it be aluminum?

dreracecar:
If you can , go to my FB page
I have a relationship with DJ Safety  which allows me to do things that other people can't. My top plate is .250  alu fully CNC machined and radiusd where the straps fit. My issues with the DJ plate is that with the covering on the straps it interferes with the nozzles in the hat. I add extra material and bend slightly down for clearance

glofria:
Bruce is a very wise man. I would listen to what he has to say.

I've seen some racers shorten the slack on their straps by tying off the excess with plastic zip ties.

dreracecar:
Just a little bend. What happens next is that I lift the blower up 2" with a spacer and measure strap length.  I am lucky that DJ is around 20min from the shop to get custom work instead of having to use generic offerings

rooman:
Bruce,
that is 20 minutes on a good day when the traffic is not screwed up. :)
