Measure line pressure Powerglide

(1/2) > >>

Mister_Fitz:
I'm thinking of getting a sensor for measuring line pressure in my Powerglide. I want to measure somewhere after the pump so that I can see the line pressure all the time regardless of which gear that is engaged.
Where is the best/most common place to connect the sensor?

bikeguy307:
There is no place to measure line pressure without tapping into the valvebody. You can measure low at the servo cover, most cases have a port to measure reverse, and some have a port for high. I will post pictures of these ports tomorrow when I get to the shop.

Mister_Fitz:
Is it possible to tap into the front/out side of the pump?
Where on the valve body is the most common place to tap for measuring the line pressure?

bikeguy307:
I have seen the pump tapped before.

jeff/21:
when we built circle track glides we tapped into the exit of the pump to divert pressure it's probably the highest pressure point you would have to check clearance depending on the size of the converter 7" or 8"' you should have lots
