Matt,
our new fed  motor was a 468 bbc 13 to 1, we loss number 4 intake lobe so i have to get a new cam. here is the question i need thoughts on. I want to  run a 6-71 blower (street) not striped, on bud, 34-35* total timing. max 5-6 lbs boost, 20-25% under drive, just looking for thoughts will it live at all, not looking to turn the world backwards!
just love the looks of that big sweet blower in your face.
bbc 468
steel crank
13-1 forged pistons
closed chamber heads
GM rods with good ARP bolts

Your idea is a good one.
I would suggest some changes.
Trade the closed chamber heads for open chambers.
Most closed chamber heads are about 106cc's and the open chambers are aboubt 118.
This will lower the compression ratio to about 11 to 1 and that is very blower / alcohol friendly.
When you purchase your camshaft choose a wide lobe separation like 114*.
Have Fun !!
