I'm currently in the process of building a 1,200 HP engine which will go into a 200" single engine dragster when not tuned correct for 7.00 will go to fast.
So, yes there are single engine front engine dragsters out there that can go that fast.

JrFuel Hayden:
So BentWings you must know Jerry Newman, I drove his Top Fuel car to a Div 3 TF championship in 73, and just saw him at the Reunion in Bakersfield.
The Parisey-Hansen Top Gas [ BBC] ran 200 mph, in 70, but it was with two BBC.
Sorry, don't know who ran in the 6's and or 200 with a single.
But I will ask at the TopGas Reunion on Thursday before the NHRA World Finals
Cheers,
Jon Hansen
