« on: February 14, 2013, 12:46:13 PM »
I will never afford it but I like that class kinda like Comp Eliminator big bucks but great racing ;D Are there any Ford engines in this class or is it a spec engine class? Is there a wheelbase limit also?

sure they let you run ford. They need money donators. Most are sbc,few hemis from what Ive seen.I think its 410 ci or less.STACK INJECTORS. 225" wheel base max. And from tthe numbers I see on SWJFA.com lots of money. Scott parks went 6.77@197 last year with 383 sbc.I think frabk said the car weighed 1350 raceready.

Theres a reason its mostly sbc.Not many engine will take the rpm they are turning to make small cube motor run like the top cars are.Lots of lite weight parts also. Check swjfa.com lots of pics and cool fed's.

Two small Deka 12v batteries wired together to make 24v. Small and pretty light. Parks sells the little box they sit in and it has a handle to carry it around. Turns the motor over fast for efficient starts. Haven't burnt up a starter yet.

We did get goodyear to agree to make 160+ tires. Good thing too cuz we're running our last years set to start off the season and have no spares. The 31x12 (D2585) is 8 pounds lighter than any other jr fuel legal tire out there.

Cranks that weigh 36 pounds, modified Honda connecting rods, ceramic bearings on the front spindles, and lots of other tricks make Frank and Scott at tough pair to beat!

I've been collecting parts over the past few years to put a B/ND together. I should have the car out this summer. Frank Parks, Scott Parks and Brian Darcy have helped me out tremendously. I cannot say enough good things about them. The cars are exactly as described in the above posts...lots of titanium, magnesium, carbon fiber and ceramics. Mine is an SBC and will weigh 1360 wet, with ballast and me in it.
