Frank Ousley designed Jim's deal, then Jim refined it.  There is a good reason for it, high volume, low air speed area.  Those cars regularly nip pistons.  for our deals, valve covers tend to work very well.  Centered in the valve covers tend to get less oil than having them up front.  Mine are near the front, however I get maybe a teaspoon of oil in my tank over 3-4 races.
