Bowling Green is now only three weeks away!

Who is going and when are you getting there.

Be sure to bring blocks for Motor Home jacks, jack stands, etc. They have new asphalt.

At the last HRR we were parked down by the time slip "shack" although there were no other NDRL members anywhere around this spot it was a great spot, no bugs, on high ground, and off the asphalt (cool).

We have run two rounds of qualifying here at the HRR. Not doing too bad, certainly better than at Gateway.

First round we ran a 8.073 with an .023 reaction time.

Second round we ran a 8.019 with a .065 reaction time

only the first round of results have been posted and are attached below.

With the 8.073 we are number 5, and if no one bettered than the first round we are number 2 of 28 after the second round.

We have the top speed of 165.94 MPH

I was second qualifier after the second round of qualifying, and fourth after the third round (we tried to snick into first by getting closer than .009 to the index and went .015 to fast.

Went out in the first round, went .015 to fast again, my competito was .254 too slow, some times I wish I did not have the chute pack body so I could see where my competitor is.

We have a solution though, for Christmas we got a set of Race Communication sets and we are learning how to use them . My Crew Chief (wife) will be able to tell me if I can back off.

Glen if your running an index and in the lead after a 1000' if you do not see the front tires of the other car lift. The person standing at the starting line will be unable to help you unless your opponent goes red or broke

I've been told that communication between launch and chute is not legal????

I have never driven the line, always run it out trusting the tune, I have experienced the driving the line and not liked it.

The between"launch and chute" may be true, but again the driver will not be able to hear at full throttle, unless it's a quite door car , but we are talking about FED's.
The main reason we have used radios is to talk the car back from the burn-out "wall, center" etc, stop. And to give the driver the ET, mph, Win, after the run, but before we get to him.  One less crew member [ no BUG].
If you decide to cut down part of your body to see better, DON'T make your seat harness loose so you can turn around better, guys have gotten hurt with loose belts. See if you could use mirrors.
