Our motor is 52 " out has been there since 2002, through the A/ND comp years. the chassis is Spitzer 225 in minus FED. The glide is full length. the rear end is a Strange 12 bolt drop out for a 9" housing.
Our change to the supercharged 400 and all the crap we added, including a 7 gal fuel tank up front, two 10 pound fire bottles ( original was one 5) , 3 gallons of water for cooling, plus water tank next to the dry sump tank, increased the car weight from 1460 with iron nat. asp motor to 1730 with blown motor, iron bow tie block, aluminum AFR heads and an 871 blower and a bird catcher.
Our car grew from 1460 LB to 1730 lb including driver (200lb with gear)
Our best performance to date is 6.71 and 202 mph (Mission Raceway last month... mid to high 6.80s at Woodburn and Bremerton in the heat) with zero to 10 pounds front end weight. There is also an 11 pound Odessy battery in the nose.
Rear tires are goodyear 2070s with Sander Eng. bead lock wheels.
Our long wheelie bar is ridden for several feet every run.
Put your motor out at least 52 in. maybe more...... : )
