MikenMpls:
Be safe and be fast this weekend guys! those of us who can't attend will be watching via Bangshift.

AF150:
The March Meet has been the best drag racing since 1959. Wish I could be there but I will be watching
Bangshift.

Van:
Hey  We were there with the Nightmare Dragster/ Keven Robinson  driving. NE1  we made it via a red light to round 2. Started to rain as both cars went in to stage, by the time the chutes were out it was a monsoon. Getting back to the pits was a real wet ordeal. We had a fun week.

JrFuel Hayden:
Bill did you watch the JrFuel runs on BangShift ?
On our Q-1 run on Thursday they shut us off at the line because we had water coming out of our bellhousing. It turns out one of my freeze plugs that have been in the rear of the block for 8 years had a rusted pin hole leak. Fixed it by moving the motor forward to get the rear motorplate out to replace the soft plug. Q-2 on Friday we did a big [ 3 foot] wheel stand [ ya Bill I know I messed-up and the wheelie bar too high !] in our all orange JrFuel "B" car with Wayne Ramay driving the Hammer-Hansen-Hook car. Wayne had to lift when it was headed to the left wall, so we only ran 7.84.

Meanwhile in the right lane Marc McCormick was having a problem after about half track. He blew the engine so bad a part of a piston got stuck in the injector and keep the throttle 1/2 open reving 10,000 rpm while it was pumping oil out the injectors from the other pistons. Marc could not see because the oil was being pumped 2 feet above the stacks. He was getting real loose also until he hit the right wall, and rolled to his left side. Scary photo on CompetitionPlus.com. Marc is OK, but motor is badly broke, block, heads, at least 2 pistons and rods of course. Still have to check the crank. The heads were mine on loan, we think one of the 2 piece Ti valves broke at the retainer groove.

Another very special thing happened, we had planned a memorial run for the last car down the track in Q-2 with a replacement driver in the Neumann-Farr-Notzka JrFuel B car, because Fred Notzka passed away in December. So we planned on putting Fred and Evans Neumann's [Fred and John Farr's other partner that passed away two years ago] ashes in the chute. And I asked all the other JF cars to stay near the turn-out after their run so we could line them up for a group photo as we said good bye to our good long time racing friends. It all went smoothly with lots of photos with Fred's wife and two sons, and Evans daughter and grand daughter there too.
As you can see the Heritage Jrfuel group is tight.
Brad Woodard won the JF March Meet, his 1'st. For more details check JrFuelDragsterAssociation.com for all Heritage JF results.
