Sweet looking ride, great job Chuck!
Just to confirm... this is a 10k rpm mill on alky, no nitro, right?

Yes it runs straight methanol. I'm going to try my hand in Comp Eliminator so I'm required to run the M1 fuel (no additives). Also, I believe the engine is going to need to operate north of 10K rpm if I ever hope to play with the Comp guys. I've been trying to step the engine speed up with each run while watching the mechanicals real closely. So far the motor looks okay but the converter that was in the car stalled at 8250 (way too low) and the 10K MSD chip in the 2 step actually rev limited at 9850. There is a tolerance on those chips. If you listen to the video in my build thread closely, you can hear the thing flatten out at about 1200 feet. That was 9850 rpm. I can see it in the Racepak data. There's a different converter and 10400 chip in it right now. Thanks for all the kind words guys. Scott Hall was the guy who convinced Bangshift to stop by my shop and Brian Lohnes did a nice job on the article.

Wow! GREAT article well done--You are in the LEGEND column for sure now--What they say? Let her rip Taterchip!!!
I had a pal / great driver former IHRA champ--got a chance to drive a 283 Chevy some class or another for a while--car was national champ level entry turned it almost 10K changed gears do it again--he made one pass came back to pits and said all his teeth fillings were loose--for sure it was not the science'd out deal like yours just an azz busting plain ole SBC doing what they can do
Congrats on finishing a Dream Ride!!! Car is stunning.
