« on: February 15, 2016, 02:41:40 PM »
Rooman or Bruce

I have the 2.5 bottle and regulator FOR LENCO
Looking to mount bottle slanted to make it look neater that straight up and down.
how far over can you mount C02 bottle before liquid comes out I don't think they have pick up in them.

horozontal or vertical does not matter,  most F/C - Altereds run them vertical in front becasue they take up less space since just dealing with diameter and how tall it is ,is not an issue. Horazontal is width and length plus the regulater and some cars are limited unless out side the frame rails

As Bruce said--it does not matter. On Mark Vaught's car I mounted the bottle horizontally just below the shoulder hoop where it is tucked away behind the parachutes but still readily accessible---pull the safety pins out of the chutes and turn the bottle on, all in the same place.

One must be real careful about the air lines, the last thing you need is the line or fitting breaking in high gear and dropping back down into low, not enough paint in the word to paint THAT pretty picture. Always use braided lines and steel fittings. There is a manuf that makes swivel fittings that will fit on the steering wheel buttons which will enable the wheel to turn without twisting the lines, that way you can keep them short.

was going to use the clippard valves like the old SPE wheel had.

Do yo know who that manufactures is for swivels?
The TAFC guys are using the DOT 1/4 nylon air brake hoses and push in fittings? they have swivels in the 90 and some straights.

We used the -4 stainless Teflon hoses made by Parker in the AA/FA
