converter
up in smoke:
looking for opinions on torgue converter stall speed. here goes;
140" fed
540ci dart mtr injected with alky
12x33-15 hoosier slicks
power glide-tranny brake,,electric shift
1508 lbs
390 gears
not looking to set the world on fire just be able to make nice passes, any input would be gratly appreciated. thanks mike

I have a tighter 8 inch built for big block like yours I run small block so can't use it in my combo
I can send pix and info part numbers etc--will take $425 for it--in Jegs for about a grand
I was going to send it off and redo but better off to sell it and move on--came from a pal that switched combos and needed something different Not knowing your TQ I would guess easy 5000-5500 with your combo just right.

140" WB FED how far is the engine out 36" maybe? With a 540" injected BBC and 12" tires I have a feeling you are going to have problems keeping the front end down! I would pick one of the convertor manufacturers and see what they think. In my opinion you are going to need one of the soft hit converters.
