what about the kick down?

What do you do with the kickdown valve when you remove the kickdown lever and associated pieces inside the pan of a powerglide?  It looks as if it could slide back and forth now with ease.

Are removing these pieces while retaining a stock valvebody?

No its an aftermarket valvebody but its a stock case. It has the hole for the kickdown vale so i slid the spool valve in.

If the makes of the valve body took it, they did it for a reason. Either they are using it for a dump or vent cavity, or they simply deemed it unnecessary and removed it. If you put one back in I would remove it.
