Roll cage question ?
« on: February 07, 2013, 11:20:41 PM »
This is for anybody Why do so many hate the taller cages so much ??? I would think it having better visibility and comfort would be better! Mine is a little taller but it's great for bracket racing you can see out really well and not as cramped. Actually at first I didn't like mine but I like it a lot better now I understand if you are going period correct but to race seems more visibility is favored :o

Are most of the Top Fuel cars now built with the taller cage?

I think it is personal opinion. When Roo Man built my dragster a lot of work went into the height and width of the cockpit. I’m not a small guy

so it ended up 21 inches wide, but he kept the height as low as possible because we were building a period correct looking dragster. At the time the other goal was to build it to be able to do rounds in ET racing.

I’m now putting a blower on it and moving to index racing and still have no regrets that we keep it as low as possible.
