Lite weight battery anyone using one

Found this thru another site and wondering if anyone here migh be using one and have opion on them.

Going to be using the used 16 volt turbo start I picked up last weekend for intial testing.But looking at a battery thats same power rating and 5 lbs. which is about 30 lbs dropped its hard not to give it serious considerations. 30 lbs at extra cost of  only 150 bucks makes it even more attractive.

For me #40 on the nose is a good thing @ $220 and pickup almost any where ( Optima red top 700CCA).

Lat year I changed to a Braile battery and have had no issues yet . It weighs 17 lbs compared to my old Oddesey that weighed 36 lbs . I don't know much about the lithium batterys .

I  love my 11 pound Braile battery. I run 13:1 compression and I can crank all I want all day with no drop in voltage. I run a magneto and no electronics so I can get away with it just fine.

do they make 16v Braile?  I understand they spin high compression sbc WELL. While I am only 13.5:1 my Hemi does have 4.5" crank. Running mag also and very few electronics(gauges,delaybox,MSD powerdgrid timing controller and occasional nitrous) yea sounds like a lot until you look at typical bracket car.

 will have to check into Braile battery to see if they offer 16v.

Agree that spending money to save weight then having to add back makes little sense,Hey I am building a FED to bracket race what does sense have to do with it, I do like being able to decide where I add weight and how much. Hey at $400 it abou $600 cheaper than the one another guy suggeested. Tehn cheap scares me at times.
