Paint Scheme for my new Digger!
« on: January 28, 2015, 07:24:52 PM »
I have recently finished my first FED--have six passes and am 100% ready for new season except...I had no paint on the body--was attending a Gasser show in Greer, SC and met Cassandra Hicks a young budding designer and artist that had a display of work she had done for some / most members of the Southeast Gassers club--I liked it! So..engaged her to help design new paint for me--she just forwarded three ideas yesterday--here they are--though you all would enjoy looking--I love them all but feel like we will go with the blue--still not final but she did this from a few simple photos of my car and took just a short time at a very reasonable rate--I am a happy camper!  That guy in the middle is not me but looks like a happy man! Cassandra is on the right--she is on Facebook where you can view more of her work--tell her David sent you!

Well lets see.My Harleys are blue,my 69 panel,96 z/28,my last 3 dragsters,Starr Rider 1 thru 4 and even christmas lights all blue. I think I  would go with       BLUE.        Yea thats what I would do,wait that is what I am doing wiith my fed. Just no orange, yellow and magenta stripes if you don't mind.

I always tell folks you know blue is gods favorite too.Blue sky and blue water are proof of that. Hard to go wrong with blue.

Here is a great looking Blue Heritage JrFuel car, Neumann-Farr-Notzka, who won the Heritage Sacramento last year.
John Farr, the builder, Fred Notzka, the driver, and Evans Neumann, the partner that passed away after wining their 1'st JrFuel win.

Ya me too, on the orange program.
All of Bud Hammer's cars and boats have been orange, starting with his High School 50' Merc, and including a his new project.
A 1957 Ford Ranch Wagon [ 2 door] he hopes to have it done for 2015 Calif Hot Rod Reunion.
The only thing not orange is the Ford crew cab dually for towing the race car trailer.
