Pump Limit
« on: January 04, 2015, 08:17:30 PM »
Hi Spud,
If I'm at a .110 pill at 30%, can I get 50% on a theoretical .060 pill and be at peace or am I about out of pump?Pump is 6.1 GPM @ 4000
Thanks
Mark S

 Hi Mark,

If a .110 pill is working at 30%, then I'm showing a .072 theoretically on 50%. I ran that combo for several years...as long as you're running pills in increments of .002 (like Kinsler), then you'll have no problem with tuning.

Thanks Spud. You answered my next question if I needed to narrow my fuel steps from .005 to .002 increments. I assume you sell Kinsler jets?
Thanks Again
Mark

 Yup! Sure do.

 To go from a .070 to a .075" pill is a 12.9% change (area).

 To go from a .070 to a .072 pill is a 7.8% change.

So, .002's will be friendlier for sure in the size range you're working in.
