18V Battery to run Distributor?

LOL!  awesome help guys!  I was sort of figuring this but wanted to be sure.  I appreciate the help!

.....and here is something else about 18V power tool batteries.
Dont use them to run a Data Logger. My RPM Logger is supposed to be OK with 18V but apparently the battery charges up to over 18V and this renders the DL useless. I dropped back to a 12V battery and now it is all good.

Frank and Scott use it to power the tranny brake, the data logger and a couple of other things.  Ignition system is a Mag., and they use external batteries to start their car.
