Fire System Questions
« on: September 06, 2014, 01:42:39 PM »
Got my injected alky dragster running--all good
Have made some passes--still working on it
Got a new SFI 15 suit--
Places I run will never care or check tech BUT....
I do want to run at Bowling Green next year and Z Max is close to the house /big NHRA track with strict NHRA by the book
My car should never go faster than low eights--injected
Chassis Just certed to 7.50 by NHRA tech last week--all my certs are good on bell, damper, flexplate, etc
I am going to club race and play so...
What fire system do I need?? 5-10-20 lb--what agent? SFI system? How many nozzles and where is best set up location?
Thanks for some help here!!!!!!
I have always had a fascination with fast cars at the expense of more normal character development

NHRA Heritage rules as of today list fire systems as optional for 7.50 and slower
Really all you need for what you are doing is a 5# in the drivers compartment incase the tranny lets go. I have a 5# Halon setup for sale with a spare (new) bottle for $275. Shipping gets expensive due to hazmat fees. can bring to CHRR if you know sombody comming out
