Need help to find missing history
(1/1)
gasserx:
Finally my new car is on its way over the big pond!
I have some history about it, but i intend to find the rest and missing part. But i need help from you guys..
Here is a little bit of "facts":
Said to originaly be a Woody Gilmore chassis. Car ran in Top Fuel from 1968 or 69 until 1974 by a guy from Florida. Then sold to Canada... then a big gap, before its sold to a guy named Bob Medeiros in 1988. History from -88 until now is documented.
I've been told that Bob doesnt remember who he bought it from, or the name of the town he lived in. The Canadian guy is supposed to have bought it from the original owner.
I would really like to find out more about pre 1988.
Anyone on here know Bob, and maybe even have a picture of the car when he ran it? Any Canadian guys on here that know some history?
Or any suggestions to where i should start :-\
Dolmetsch:
A Guy from Florida may be the clue. A guy From Florida with strong Canadian Connections would be Frank Hawley (Gainsville) as he has feet in both countries and is heavily involved in the sport. May have been the seller or brokered the deal.

gasserx:
Thanks Don, i will try look him up!
Gardermoen is in Norway. It used to be one of best tracks in northern europe, but now about to fade away a little...still in use though, and i hope it will be for many years. Lack of money is holding it back :(
Dolmetsch:
Oh OK. I saw the oe together and was going to ask Auf Deutsch
Anyway, try Frank Hawley School of Drag Racing
