Isky red zone lifters
masracingtd1167:
Matt what do you think about the new Isky red zone lifters ? I broke a lifter last year a Jessel but they were very old . I am going to replace all of my lifters this year and I like the idea of no needle bearings . Thanks Bill Masiello
Blind Mule:
Bill you gonna run T/D this year?

Bill:
Isky makes a very good product.
I have not used any of the new lifters without needle bearings yet.
For many years I have used Crower rollers with the Hi-Po oil option.
Many years ago I spent weekends on nitro funny cars. At that time Crower and Crane were the only
lifters to hold up when those motors dropped a cylinder.
Since then I have used Crowers in engines we build and had zero problems.
Crower now also has a lifter without bearings and Im sure the Iskys are just as good.
They charge more money for those but I think they are a good investment in the long run.

Matt thank's for the quick reply . I forgot to mention that these are the .937 keyway lifters . I don't think that Crower makes one so I think that I am limited to the Jessel or Isky and the Jessel's are just so much money . Randy yes we are going to run a few Top Dragster races this year . It's kind of fun to show up at these races with a small block F.E.D. and out qualify some of those mega cube big block's

Bill, I got a free pair of custom red zone keyway lifters today. I have not gotten to play with them much yet but I believe that they are actually .936" diameter. Mine have a custom smaller wheel and they weigh 92 grams. I like the fact that they have no needle bearings and my understanding is that they have been extensively tested. Not sure if I am going to use them yet. See ya
