Had a great time.
Weather was BEAUTIFUL except for Saturday night when there was a little rain.
Had a couple of problems over the weekend with the dragster. The engine was breaking up like it was hitting the limiter. Replaced the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, box, and finally tracked it down to the ignition switch. The tab on the back was cracked and when we removed it it fell off.
The air density was another challenge. Sunday the air density was -430. I did not have a large enough pulley to get the right air fuel ratio. The dragster was fighting me all weekend wanting to go to fast.
We made it to the finial round in the Pro Comp class and had to run Don Nave the NDRL two year running champion. He had a .001 R/T to my .074, I caught him before the strip, we both broke out, Don by .034 and myself by .105
What a race. So...In the new England Hot Rod Reunion the finial for the Pro Comp class consisted of the two NDRL member running against each other, to take first and first loser.
Will have to see if we can turn that around at the finial NDRL race of the season.
WHAT A GREAT TIME!!!!!
