SBC Zoomies
« on: June 15, 2014, 01:45:45 PM »
I'm having  a hard time getting 2" tubes positioned properly on a Stahl flange.  I want short tubes, and tight turns but the centre ports are limiting the amount I can lay the tubes back, about 80 degrees is max.  Any advice on how to position the tubes, or which radius to use to get them raked back ?

Phil, the only way to get a lot of lay back with a small block (or anything else with paired center ports) is to run the forward pipe around the outside of the second one.

thanks Roo, not sure how I'm gonna get round this one, I read somewhere bending each tube 3 degrees more and increasing the pipes length at the head towards the back should line them up so they can lay over ?

Here are some I built granted they have pipes that start in the radius no straight section coming out of the flange hard to see in this pic but it is the only one I have on my phone

Hey Phil. These are some I've just done for SBM as Roo suggested. These pipes are 15" long are an 80 degree bend.
Cheers
